Welcome our Newest Team Member, Joellyn Weingourt

March 8, 2018

Our mission to advance and empower the state-based LGBTQ movement has remained constant for the almost 21 years of Equality Federation’s existence. The communities we call home continue to be attacked, which means we must be strategic in our work and growth.

In creating the position of Donor and Corporate Relations Officer, we are reaffirming our commitment to providing the very best resources for our members and the LGBTQ community. Equality Federation is thrilled to announce the newest addition to our team!

Welcome Donor and Corporate Relations Officer, Joellyn Weingourt!

Joellyn Weingourt started at Equality Federation this week. As Donor and Corporate Relations Officer, she will be responsible for the maintenance and expansion of our major donor portfolio and corporate giving program, bringing resources to increase the impact of our Leadership and Advocacy programs. Joellyn has spent over 2 decades in the fight for social justice, starting as a door-to-door fundraiser where she learned how to speak with passion and get fed along the way.

Most recently she spent 3 years at Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice working on immigration reform, voting rights, criminal justice reform and LGBTQ rights, and with AbilityFirst giving voice to adults and children with developmental and physical disabilities. Joellyn graduated from UMASS Amherst with a degree in Women’s Studies.

Joellyn resides in the wilds of Los Angeles with her husband Dan and son Henry. She spends her free time reading, watching movies and tv, chefing and watching Totoro for the 876th time with her son.
