Be, Build, Bring: Our Capacity-Building Framework
Our programs are designed to:
- Be our members’ strategic resource,
- Build their organizational capacity, or
- Bring them the experts or funding they need.
This approach helps our state partners address any organizational or political challenge they might face.
Being Strategic Partners
We work closely with members to build a base of supporters in every state to advance pro-LGBTQ+ policies and public health, and defeat anti-LGBTQ+ policies from the ground up. We provide members with communications resources and tested messaging, data and technology support, and funding to support their advocacy.
Building Movement Leadership
Our network’s leaders are committed to their growth and use a racial justice lens in their leadership development. Through virtual training, coaching, learning cohorts, and strategy sharing, we nurture the skills that strengthen our network and magnify its impact.
Bringing National Resources and Funding to States
Equality Federation fosters relationship-building among our network, national movement partners, and funders. We elevate state leaders to inform national movement strategies, while leveraging our national relationships to advance local and state priorities.
