Will Equality Federation support me in my fundraising efforts?

Yes! Equality Federation is grateful for your support and will provide guidance and resources to help make your fundraiser a success. Our team is available to answer questions, offer advice, and provide materials to assist you.

Can I use the Equality Federation logo while fundraising to create promotional materials?

Yes, you may use our logo in your fundraising materials, subject to our brand guidelines. Please reach out to our team to request the logo files and guidelines to ensure proper usage.

Can a member of the Equality Federation team join or attend my fundraiser?

Depending on the nature of your event, location, and scheduling, a member of the Equality Federation team may be able to attend or participate in your event. Please contact us with the details of your event, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Are donations to Equality Federation tax-deductible?

Yes, Equality Federation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We will provide donors with the necessary documentation for tax purposes.

Can Equality Federation help cover expenses related to my event?

Equality Federation is unable to cover expenses related to your fundraiser, but we recognize that many event hosts go above and beyond and financially contribute to the success of their event. Event organizers who provide our team with receipts of reasonable expenses can receive a letter acknowledging those costs as an in-kind donation.

What if a donor gives money to me directly? Can I donate or write a check to Equality Federation on their behalf?

If a donor gives you money directly, you can write a check or make a donation to Equality Federation on their behalf. Please include the donor's information (name, address, and email) so that we can properly acknowledge their contribution and provide them with a tax receipt.

Are there ways my company can help with my fundraising efforts?

Yes! Many companies offer matching gift programs, which can double the impact of your fundraiser. Check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift policy and how Equality Federation can benefit from it. Your company may also be interested in sponsoring your fundraising event or providing in-kind donations.
