Support Equality

May 14, 2013

Equality Federation and Equality Federation Institute are winning equality in the communities we call home. You can fuel that momentum by making a contribution to support our work right now:

You can also support equality through one of our giving programs:

Equality Federation Ambassadors and the Equality Ambassadors are the visionary leaders who make it possible for the Equality Federation to deliver its critical support and expertise to the states. With a contribution of $1,200 or more annually, Ambassadors are the foundation of the state-based movement for full LGBT equality. Join the Ambassador Club.

Communication is crucial to our successes. Our deep access to what goes on at ground level in every state in the nation puts the Equality Federation in a unique position to serve as both the mouthpiece for progress as well as an alarm to rally allies when needed for tactical battles. To best leverage these strengths, Equality Federation will deepen our data tracking and sharing capacity. We will use social media to give voice to the states’ victories and struggles and to rally support from across the country. Help us get the word out.

Safe Schools are critical for all young people to learn and feel safe. The Equality Federation is committed to all students being safe, supported and protected from violence, bullying and mistreatment – from other students, the adults educating them and broader institutional forces, and is playing a leadership role in making change happen on this critical issue in key states across the country.  At the same time, we are committed to making sure that safe schools policies don't push students out of school and contribute to the school to prison pipeline. Support Safe Schools.

The Equality Federation has created the Southern Cohort Initiative, a regional strategy through the 13 state equality organizations in the South (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia).  There is much work happening in the south and not enough people know about the daily triumphs and frustrations of the many LGBT people living in these states. This initiative supports increased support, communication, training and communication as the south moves toward equality. Support the Southern Cohort Initiative.
