Save the Date for Summer Meeting 2014

February 12, 2014

Every year, the Equality Federation Institute hosts its annual Summer Meeting, bringing together LGBT movement leaders from across the country to build skills and create strong connections.

This year’s meeting will be here before you know it, and it's time to mark your calendars and save the date!

This summer, we are headed to the North Star State from July 30 to August 2, where our friends at OutFront Minnesota will serve as gracious hosts for our 17th Annual Summer Meeting in the beautiful city of Minneapolis.

We’re planning sessions from some of our movement's greatest minds, caucus conversations that will connect attendees based on their organizational roles, and workshops that are geared toward helping state leaders build greater success in lobbying, organizing, communications, and more.

In addition to the learning opportunities that are in store, we know that OutFront Minnesota is planning an array of fun social events that will ensure we have the chance to reconnect with one another while exploring beautiful Minneapolis!

With two huge victories in the past two years -- fighting off a marriage ban at the ballot and passing the freedom to marry in the legislature -- Minnesota is the perfect place for our movement to gather and build even more momentum!

The meeting will be held at the Hilton Minneapolis (1001 Marquette Avenue S, Minneapolis, MN), and we'll be launching registration very soon. For now, be sure to mark your calendars for July 30 to August 2, 2014!

Shifting the Narrative: LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Breast Cancer Awareness

“Beyond Pink Ribbons” is more than a slogan. It’s a reminder that breast cancer advocacy must evolve if it’s going to serve everyone it claims to represent. It’s time to create space for everyone who lives with, or is at risk for, this disease.
