Members: Sign-Up to Give a FEDtalk at Summer Meeting 2014!

June 24, 2014

Back by popular demand!

FEDtalks were a breakaway favorite plenary session from last year’s Summer Meeting. So we're excited to announce they're back this year!

If you’ve missed out on these great talks, which have now become a staple at Federation gatherings, they’re fast-paced, back-to-back presentations of no more than five minutes. You can check out some of last year’s Summer Meeting talks on our YouTube channel here.

As Summer Meeting 2014 approaches, we are looking for speakers for this year’s FEDtalks! Have you (or someone in your organization) done something new and innovative? Do you have a special skill to share? Did you learn something interesting from your last project? We want to hear about it!

If you'd like to give a FEDtalk, just submit your idea here. It's quick and easy!

Your talk can be on any aspect of your work: organizing, communications, advocacy, governance, fundraising, you name it.

Or, if there's another state leader you'd like to give a FEDtalk on a particular topic, email me your suggestions, and I'll try to recruit them.

After last year’s Summer Meeting, we were flooded with requests to publish the FEDtalks online. These five minute talks live long after Summer Meeting and are a chance for state leaders to share a big idea, talk through an innovative strategy, or offer up an exciting concept.

Don’t miss out on presenting this year — submit your idea now!

Shifting the Narrative: LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Breast Cancer Awareness

“Beyond Pink Ribbons” is more than a slogan. It’s a reminder that breast cancer advocacy must evolve if it’s going to serve everyone it claims to represent. It’s time to create space for everyone who lives with, or is at risk for, this disease.
