Vashti is an Advocacy & Civic Engagement Strategist at Equality Federation. In this role, Vashti works with member organizations to develop plans for integrated voter engagement and sustain year-round organizing programs.

Vashti has spent the last nine years dedicated to both issue-based campaigns and longer-term movement work centered around creating change at the individual, institutional, and systemic levels. Vashti is most proud of their roles as the Civic Engagement Director with the Oregon Student Association where they led a voter registration drive that registered 55,000 students across the state to vote and as the Deputy Field Director for the Yes on 3 campaign in Massachusetts where they worked alongside their colleague, Vivian, to secure critical nondiscrimination protections for transgender people.
