Addison Woodrum is the Executive Assistant at Equality Federation. In this role, she supports the organization’s leadership team and can be found taking notes, managing projects, and scheduling meetings for 20+ people across 4 time zones. Her superpower is taking care of people, and you'll almost always see Addison side-by-side with the Federation's executive director, ensuring that tasks are done, work is efficient, and no one is hungry.
Addison left a decade-long career in finance to join the movement to win LGBTQ+ equality. Before joining the Federation, she served as Executive Assistant at Freedom for All Americans, the campaign team working to protect all LGBTQ people from discrimination. As a queer woman, Addison is grateful for the opportunity to use her professional skills and strengths to advance the causes she cares about.
Addison grew up in South Carolina and graduated from Clemson University. After spending a dozen years in Colorado, she recently returned to her home state and lives in Columbia with her spouse, kiddo, and dog.
With your support, we'll be able to continue our work to build the leaders of today and tomorrow, strengthen state-based LGBTQ+ organizations, and make critical progress on the issues that matter most—like protecting transgender people, ending HIV criminalization and ensuring access to care, and banning conversion therapy across the country.
