Executive Assistant - Equality Maine

We are seeking a well-organized person comfortable with multi-tasking/shifting priorities; a creative thinker who understands the complexity of the role of an Executive Director; has excellent communication skills; and has exceptional interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals, a small and dedicated staff, and constituencies in a diverse community.

The Executive Assistant provides key administrative functions and logistical support for the organization, including the Executive Director, other staff, and the board of directors. They are a self-directed team player who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and adapts to different situations. Specifically, this includes scheduling the director’s meetings, maintaining, and coordinating the calendar, responding to emails and messages, as well as a range of operational and logistical duties. This person works concurrently in multiple areas of responsibility, initiatives, and issues while assisting the director with identifying and meeting often unforeseen requests and deadlines in the context of an ever-evolving schedule.

Compensation/Commitment/Location

$20-$24 per hour
Part-time: 16-24 hours per week
Start Date: 9/1/2022
Portland Based Location: postion is mostly in-person with some remote options
