The Federation’s Director of Communications, our beloved Jace Woodrum, is leaving us to join the team at the Gill Foundation in Denver, Colorado.

Over the past 15 months, Jace has revolutionized our communications with our members, partners, donors, and supporters. Never before have so many people understood what our team does and what impact we’re making in the movement.

Jace has also worked tirelessly to strengthen the communications of the state-based movement. From his Communications Boot Camp to his messaging trainings on nondiscrimination to his one-on-one partnerships with many of our member groups — he has contributed significantly to building greater communications capacity in the states.

We’re glad that Jace is keeping his expertise within the movement and sharing his understanding of state policy change with our friends and partners at the Gill Foundation. We bid him farewell with best wishes, knowing that we will have many opportunities to work together again.

Today, we are launching an immediate national search for a new Director of Communications. We invite experienced communications professionals to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Ideal candidates will have expertise in branding, digital media, messaging, and press relations. Experience working in organizations with specialties in policy advocacy and leadership development is desirable.

The Federation team is fully distributed and strategically positioned across the country. This full-time staffer can be based anywhere in the United States.
